Dear Knitter, Our newest Schoolhouse Press title, Knitting with Two Colors,by Meg Swansen and Amy Detjen has arrived. This technique book for beginning through advanced knitters stands on its own, but it is also a wonderful companion to Schoolhouse Press color patterns or stitch pattern books such as Alice Starmore's Charts for Color Knitting. Knitting with Two Colors is dedicated to knitter Joyce Williams. Elizabeth Zimmermann's book Knit One Knit All continues to delight us all with seemingly endless opportunities to construct garter stitch designs. However, it is not only Elizabeth's knitting knowledge that continues to draw interest. This month her photo graces the cover of the Winter 2011-2012 issue of the Wisconsin Magazine of History. The accompanying article, "Stitch by Stitch: The Life and Legacy of Elizabeth Zimmermann," was written by Kathryn Parks and Colleen McFarland as part of a University of Wisconsin project. Copies of this issue can be ordered here. Also, check out the wpr podcast about this article.
