Dear Knitters,

August 2008: What a beautiful summer in Wisconsin! Our warehouse is pictured above, through the woods, with solar panels working continuously. We've just completed a month of lively and inspiring knitting camps which have left us ready to tackle new projects with enthusiasm.

One of these projects is the production of Schoolhouse Press patterns, introduced here with the issue of Pattern #1,EZ's Butterfly.

Schoolhouse Press patterns are in color, 4-8 page format with a sheet protector. They include expanded instructions with additional sizing info and technique images. More Patterns will be available in Fall.

Wool Gathering 79 (sneak preview at right), the second of our anniversary issues, will feature sweaters with beautiful yokes re-created from a chart found in Elizabeth Zimmermann's papers and a photograph of Meg's sister from 1958 wearing a similar EZ yoke sweater. For those with subscriptions, Wool Gathering 79 will be sent in late August; otherwise, subscribe now.

We're also gearing up for our next Knit Along in mid-September with author Joyce Williams guiding us as we knit two socks on circulars (she'll describe her one sock on circulars method as well).
