Meg Swansen's Knitting Workshops
Yoke Sweater Styles Knitting Workshop
October 9-12, 2014
The Yoke Sweater Styles workshop is full.
Email email@example.com to add your name to the waiting list.
We also have openings in Knitting Camp 1 during July, and seamless yoke sweater construction is covered.
The Yoke Sweater Styles workshop will concentrate upon Swedish Bohus color patterns, and we will discuss all of Elizabeth Zimmermann's different methods to shape the upper reaches of a seamless sweater as outlined in her Knitting Workshop book.
Various methods of 2-color knitting, plus increasing and decreasing will be demonstrated, as well as 4 or 5 ways to work short-rows, and weaving the underarms.
As always, our knitting workshops are both instructional and conversational; our knitting discussions can go in any direction according to the wishes of our participants.
Read General Workshop information below.
Schoolhouse Press is now offering one workshop each fall in addition to our regular summer knitting camps/retreats. Meg Swansen and Amy Detjen co-teach the fall workshop which is based on a different topic each year.
We limit workshops to approximately 25 participants, so each knitter will have ample opportunity to ask questions and receive individual feedback. We held a variety of workshops with different themes from 2007 to 2013, and we look forward to welcoming a group of knitters in fall of 2014.
The workshops take place at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin where we hold our summer knitting camps. The workshop includes an afternoon visit to the Schoolhouse Press warehouse to shop and explore "The Sweater Room," where all the knitted treasures of EZ and MS are stored.
